(I'm Anxious At A House Party And The Only Way To Charge My Social Battery Is To) PET DAT DAWG! is a micro-speedrunning game where you must navigate a party and its various obstacles, making small talk with partygoers and keeping your social battery up so you can find and PET DAT DAWG!
Playable with keyboard (WASD or Arrow Keys) or a gamepad. Button prompts are set up for an Xbox controller.
Made for the Godot Wild Jam #96 with the theme "Charge"

Can you pet the dog? YES! Dodging party goers like a billionaire at tax return time to stroke a cute ass pupper? Good simple fun, the existential terror was just gravy.
When I set out to play this game, I was simply expecting obstacles and petting a dog.
I did not expect the haunting realism of being trapped up against a bookshelf, unable avoid social interaction while I desperate throw my eyes around the room in a silent plea for help.
oh no! I didn’t expect something like this to happen!

there is a reason some people have called it a horror game
I thought it was absolutely hilarious! The consequences are negligible
thanks to pet dat dawg I now am FULLY equip to deal with the horrors of human interaction when my social battery is low (this was genuinely very fun and is a great mini experience that is absolutely worth your time)
